The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court has taken a tough stance in the kidnapping of the nephew of the rape victim in Unnao. The Court has summoned the status report of the deliberations from the government lawyer.

Vimal Bajpayee, the father of one of the accused, had filed a writ in the High Court seeking a CBI inquiry, which was heard by a division bench of Justices Rituraj Awasthi and Saroj Yadav. In the case of the missing nephew of the deceased rape victim in Unnao, the family members of the accused filed a petition in the High Court seeking a CBI inquiry into the case. Accepting the Petition, the Court has summoned the report from the state home secretary. The High Court has ordered the report to be submitted within three weeks. Advocate OP Tiwari, who filed the writ in the Court, said that the Court has summoned the inquiry report from the Government, accepting the writ.

On October 2, a six-year-old nephew of the late rape victim from a village in Unnao’s Thana Bihar area went missing. Police in Unnao claims that STF, SOG, along 14 teams have been engaged in the search for the mysteriously missing child, but have not been successful. On the day of this incident, the victim’s sister immediately filed a kidnapping case against Captain Bajpai, Saroj Trivedi, Anita, Sundara Lodhi, and Hasht. After this, the Police arrested the accused and sent them to jail. The accused in this case were ready to face any investigation, claiming that they were innocent.

During this time, along with the demand of the CBI investigation by holding a dharna at the concerned high officials and district headquarters of the Accused, the two sides had demanded a narco and lie detector test but this demand could not be fulfilled to date. Significantly, in Unnao, a rape victim was burnt alive in the Bihar Police Station area last year. Now his six-year-old nephew is missing. He has been missing for almost two months. In this, on the Petition of the Accused party, the Court has directed the Home Department to submit the progress report of the investigation in three weeks.
