Elon Musk's company brought the matter before the Delhi High Court, expressing concern over Tesla Power India's use of the TESLA trademark and their announcement of entering the electric vehicles market through newspaper advertisements.

Tesla Inc. contends that despite issuing a cease-and-desist notice to Tesla Power India and its counterpart Tesla Power USA in April 2022 and engaging in communications until March 2023, the defendant continued to advertise and market goods using the TESLA trademark.
