Fear of spread the COVID-19 infection, large corona fee imposed on liquor, fails to deter Toper.

NEW DELHI: Fear of spread the coronavirus infection, so the government imposed the ‘Special Corona Fee’ on alcohol of 70 per cent. But this ‘Special Corona Fee’ fails to maintain the crowd outside the liquor shops.

Long queues were formed outside the liquor shop in Krishna Nagar and Vishwas Nagar in Delhi and number of policeman deployed there, outside the shops for managing the crowd and ensure the social distancing.

150 governments’ liquor shops run and allowed to open the shop in Lockdown 3.o from 9AM to 6.30PM as per the relaxation given by the Ministry of Affairs. And after the relaxation announced for lockdown 3.o, then on Monday onwards the liquor shops were opened and outside the shops, there were long queues and crowds due to which social distancing were not followed and also the fear of spread the COVID-19 raised and this was the reason government imposed a ‘Special Corona Fee’ upon the alcohol of 70 per cent and the planning behind this decision is to discourage the people for not gather outside the liquor shops. But this planning was failed, people still in a long queues and reach there before time.

And outside the liquor shops the number of policeman were needed, for maintain the social distancing. In many areas liquor shops were shut down by the policeman before 6.30pm, the time which were allowed by government due to break of social distancing rule and encouraged the coronavirus. And many of the liquor shop downed itself on Monday after crowds turned unruly, and show the care about social distancing.

The Special branch of the Delhi police has also prepared a report, suggesting that extend the timing of the liquor sale in Delhi, after considered the situation outside the shops in Delhi.

Nothing can stop the Toper, neither the ‘Special Corona Fee’.
