Wipro provide support to convert Pune facility into 450-bed COVID-19 hospital.

On Tuesday, May 5, 2020, Wipro has signed a document as a understanding with the Technology) campuses at Hinjewadi in Pune to a 450-bed, COVID-19 hospital in four weeks and then hand to the Government of Maharashtra. And also mention in the document that the hospital will convert back to an IT (Information Technology) facility after a year.

The hospital will include 12 beds for stabilize critical patients before shift them to a territory care facility. This hospital is an independent, isolated COVID-19 dedicated complx by Wipro. And hospital will also includes 24 rooms only for the accommodate doctors and medical staffs.

Wipro, a multinational company which dedicated one of its IT campuses and not only this but withal the facilities like the physical infrastructure, medical furniture and equipment besides also appointing an administrator and support staffs to help in the hospital.

Maharashtra Chief Minister, Uddhav Thackeray, said the statement as mentioning the support by the Wipro. “This humanitarian contribution by Wipro will further strengthen or medical infrastructure and benefit the medical groups who are at the forefront of our fight against the COVID-19 crises”.

Wipro, a company and it committed to support the country by bona-fide intention and also dedicated one of its IT (Information Technology) campuses and Wipro Chairman Rishad Premji said “We are completely committed to supporting the country’s response to the COVID-19 Pandemic and believe that we must all work together to deal with this crises and minimize its human impact. We stand firmly with the government of Maharashtra in its battle against COVID-19.

Government already took every necessary steps against the COVID-19 Pandemic and also not give up on the difficult situation across the country. But this dedication by Wipro, it will strengthening their medical infrastructure and also helps to service group against the COVID-19 pandemic.
