Everyone in the world fight against COVID-19 as frontline officers or taking part, but everyone has their own role to play against the COVID-19. So, the both scientific and pharma industry is researching the drugs and vaccines for COVID-19. No vaccines or medicines available in the world for COVID-19 disease but everything has a alternative, just like the same the alternative for COVID-19 is to boost the immunity. So, the fast-moving consumer goods company, Dabar has initiated a clinical study of its flagship immunity booster.

On May 14, 2020, it could be the first trial using the Ayurvedic therapy targeted on a particular disease. So, the preventive remedy in COVID-19 which is Chyawanprash, used as a immunity booster. And there are many ancient herbs like ‘Ashwagandha, Mulethi and Giloy’ these are effective against the disease and it will be tested in separate studies by the Ministry of Ayush.

Clinically trials conducted on two groups of 750 people, who are healthy person and not suffering from any diseases like diabetes or high blood pressure and this clinical study has been planned at Jaipur, Vadodara, Pune and Mumbai, it for both Ayurvedic and modern physicians as investigators. And the results, like those who take Dabur Chyawanprash, comparative assessment against the COVID-19 and those not taking it, for the period of three months.

Industry experts says that immunity and stamina booster products from Ayurvedic herbs like Chyawanprash and other products, across the company they are hugly rise the demand over 60% during April year-on-year.

Dabur India Chief Executive Officer Mohit Malhotra said “This purely scientific study would assess not just the preventive aspects of Chayawanprash, but also its effects on recovery from COVID-19 and reducing severity of infection on individuals who become positive during the study course”.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is also, supported the Ayurvedic therapy as a home remedy to boost immunity. So, he repeatedly pushed the Ayush Ministry guidelines. The Telangana State also supported the Ayurvedic therapy by distributed the Ayurvedic products to frontline workers.
