Sadhawi Pragya got bail on Tuesday

Sadhvi Pragya Thakur has been released on bail by Bombay High Court, on Tuesday.

She was accused in Malegaon Blast case (2008) in which seven people were executed. Sadhvi has been ordered  to submit her passport to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and was discharged on a bail obligation of Rs 5 lakh. The court guided her not to mess with evidence and to answer to the NIA court according to the necessities.

A preliminary court had dismissed the bail uses of both Lt Col Purohit (another accused in the case) and Sadhvi Pragya Thakur a year ago after which they had moved the High Court. Lieutenant Colonel Shrikant Purohit, , was denied bail in a similar hearing. Both have been in the slammer for over eight years now, however Pragya was moved to a Bhopal clinic as of late since she is a disease tolerant.

Twin bomb blats shook Malegaon on September 28, 2008, murdering seven individuals and injured more than 100. Sadhvi Pargya Thakur was caught that year in October and Col. Purohit in November. They were charged for plotting the blasts as a major aspect of the Pro-Hindu group, Abhinav Bharat.

A year ago, the NIA dropped charges against Pragya Thakur and five others refering to lacking proof to indict them. However, the Mumbai preliminary court denied bail to her and scrutinized the NIA dropping the charges. The agency didn't contradict the bail application of Sadhvi Pragya Thakur in the High Court yesterday.

NIA has suggested arraigning Lt Col Purohit for trick and under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, however it had dropped charges under the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act against him and nine others.
